Q. What’s a typical shoot like?
A. There is no typical shoot! Your shoot is customized for you, so if you want to fly to a far off destination, or if you want to find a grungy, rundown industrial location. . . an abandoned carnival. . . a construction site. . . or a simple park. The options are endless!
Q. How far in advance should I book a shoot?
A. Typically a minimum of four weeks in advance is ideal — this gives me time for any location scouting and gives us time for wardrobe & logistical planning!
Q. Are we going to shoot outdoors or in-studio, or both?
A. Though studio time is always available, I prefer to work outdoors and do the majority of my shoots in natural light. If you’re interested in studio time, just let me know and we’ll set it up!
Q. What’s the best time of day to shoot?
A. Late afternoon — a few hours before the sun sets is the best time to start!
Q. How should I prepare and what should I bring?
A. Be sure to relax and get plenty of rest the night before!
Q. Will you pose me?
A. I will help guide you into natural positions. I know it’s really easy to say, but just be yourself! Seriously. Relax, take a deep breath, and have fun!
Q. Can I see the shots as we go?
Q. What happens after the shoot. . . how soon can I see my photos?
A. Your images are typically ready within 30 days. As soon as they’re ready, I’ll e-mail you the link to your online gallery — see a sample here!
Q. What about prints. . . how do I order those?
A. Prints and hi-res files are always available through your online gallery.
Q.What forms of payment do you accept?
A. Credit card payments are securely processed online, checks and cash are fine too. Invoices must be settled prior to your gallery being released.
Q. What are you doing to protect and preserve the environment?
A. The impact I have on the environment is a factor in every decision I make! The studio’s electricity is derived from solar and biomass sources, our servers are powered entirely from wind-generated electricity, and all of our marketing materials are printed on recycled/eco-friendly papers.
